This is a series about my Grandma Angie. After she passed away, I began to go through her old photos and letters. I realized that there was so much about her life, so many stories, that I didn't know. Seeing all of these images of her at my age made me want to fill in those gaps and find ways to relate her life then to mine.
I used a mixture of photographs of her at my age and landscapes from her old photo boxes as well as some locations of my own that are meaningful to me. The writing on the images comes from old letters I found between her and my grandfather Eugene who was in the military at the time. I combined all of these pieces of her life and mine to create this series that ultimately brought me the closure I had been looking for.
